Hey, Starky— I’ve been peachy keen! Well, mostly. I admit that there was this whole ‘awh, shit. My life sucks’ bit for a while, but I’m totally over it.
Still not dead yet, huh?
Halo eat your life?
Halo? Halo? Anthony, what kind of girl do you take me for?
It was Call of Duty.
Class is out, and my Xbox is busted. Guess that means I don’t have an excuse to stay away anymore, huh?
Besides, if not me then who’s going to provide the sick beats and coffee?
All Baldur’s Gate, all night. For one night only- all the action going down right here in Darcy’s crib.
Ice cream and coffee totally at the door.
Tony was positively stunned when Loki burst through the door. He couldn’t think of any situation where he would have to be indebted to an enemy for saving him. Even less did he think he’d be saved by an enemy who’s ex-girlfriend he had just taken on a date and had sex with.
“Hey, Loki,” Tony said offering a pleasant smile. “What— uh— what brings you here?”
Loki turned to look at Tony first, an icy smile gracing his lips. “Certainly not you.” He stepped over one of the fallen men and helped Darcy to her feet, ignoring Stark completely. “If you must know, I have taken to… checking in on you, from time to time.” He bit his tongue on a comment about her current lack of taste in company. He didn’t need to let her in on the fact that he knew exactly what had happened between her and Stark - though their situation at present didn’t leave much room for any other explanation.
“I saw you were in trouble, and I..” He looked away, irritably grinding his teeth. “I had to act.”
If the situation had been different, there would have been several ‘Oh, snap!’s and ‘I totally knew it’s from Darcy. At the present all she did was wave away Loki’s hand as she got to her feet. “Man, that is like class A creepy, you know. I don’t want you spying in on what I’m doing. I’m sorry I even asked.”
A thank you would have been better, but Darcy couldn’t bring herself to spit the words, lest she Loki a reason to feel smug. She’d rather feed her younger cousin five cans of Red Bull and let him loose around her house.
“If you’re so irritated about it, why bother-” But thanks for not letting me die…Darcy turned her attention to Stark. “-Hey, boss guy, you alright?”
